The university entered the World University Rankings of countries with emerging economies for the first time.
The British publication of university rankings by Times Higher Education (THE) has published the Emerging Economies University Rankings. The shortlist includes 606 universities: 48 Russian universities are among them.
KNRTU-KAI ranked the 301-350 because of the citation index of publications of university’s academic staff, as well as the set of education indicators. Among Russian universities, KNRTU-KAI took 20th place, ahead of such universities participating in the Russian Academic Excellence Project as Saint Petersburg Electrotechnical University, Far Eastern Federal University, Samara University, South Ural State University, Lobachevsky University and Immanuel Kant Baltic Federal University.
