KNRTU-KAI celebrated its 88th anniversary on a large scale in fun, competitive way with traditional games and amusements.
On March 5, KAI students and members celebrated the 88th anniversary of the university. The festive events took place at “KAI-Olymp” Sports and Leisure Complex.
The President of KNRTU-KAI Yuri Gortyshov was the first to congratulate the students and staff of KNRTU-KAI: “Today we have a wonderful day. We are celebrating the birthday of our beloved KAI. The fundamental nature of the university’s education established by our founders, and its specific application focus allow KAI to be among the leading universities of Russia. According to various Russian and international rankings, KAI is among the 20-30 best universities. We have a high status of a national research university, and there are only 29 universities with such status in our country. Our last victory, which we are very proud of - KAI is ranked in the first category among all Russian universities. We are also profoundly proud of our employees and graduates: Tupolev, Simonov, Gubanov, Silaev and many others. Our alumni represent large industrial and aviation enterprises. And I believe that among today's students, there are future highly qualified professionals that KAI will be proud of. I sincerely congratulate you on the 88th anniversary!
Alexey Lopatin, Vice-Rector for Educational Activities, joined in congratulating KAI: “I want to congratulate not only our current students who are present at today's celebration, but all the graduates (they numbered about one hundred thousand) from previous years of study. Our university was founded in March, the first month of spring. A month of rebirth, a month of hope.
KAI has always been the leader in engineering and technical education in Russia. So, I would like to wish you endless happiness, joy and success. The student years are the years of your formation as adults, as specialists. Wish you all the best!”
The celebration was fun and exciting: the guests took part in laser biathlon, Fun Run, KAI symbols coins’ juggle, traditional games and amusements. There was also organized a photo zone with a husky, horse riding, and the Miss Spring contest. All completed with the burning of the “Maslenitsa” effigy.
The annual March celebrations dedicated to the university's birthday have become one of the good traditions. Thanks to all the guests, and we look forward to seeing you next year!
